3DeVOK Studio

For a simple 3D scanning experience

What is 3DeVOK Studio?

3DeVOK Studio is a free professional-grade 3D scanning PC application designed for high-precision, real-time scanning and post-processing. It integrates seamlessly with our 3D scanners like the 3DeVOK MT and 3DeVOK MQ, and supports multiple scanning modes, including laser and infrared speckle, to accommodate diverse scanning scenarios. The software is included in the box with every 3DeVOK scanner, so you can start scanning right away.

Key features

Frame-by-frame undo

When scanning in infrared structured light or laser mode with hybrid alignment, stitching errors may occasionally occur. In such cases, you can easily undo individual frames to remove inaccurate data, eliminating the need for a full rescan. This feature streamlines the scanning process, and reduces on-site operation time.

Hybrid alignment

Start scanning with little to no markers needed. The system helps align your scans smoothly, making it easier for beginners and advanced users to get great results right away.

Easy scanning of thin objects

When scanning small, thin-walled items, you can place markers on both sides. Shared markers along the edges help the software automatically align front and back scans, making the stitching process simple and accurate.

Localized high-resolution scanning

Users can perform localized high-resolution scans using different modes (blue laser, infrared laser, or speckle), allowing for detailed scanning of specific areas without restarting the entire project.

Intelligent data optimization

Activating the color map during scanning provides a visual indication of point cloud quality: green signifies high-quality data, while red indicates poor quality. As scanning progresses from optimal distances and varied angles, the map will gradually shift to green, showing that the data quality has reached an acceptable level at the current resolution.

Advanced measurement tools

3DeVOK Studio includes various measurement functions, such as distance, angle, and surface area measurements, facilitating detailed analysis of scanned objects.

3D scanning made easy

Auto-save and easy recovery

Your work is automatically saved as you scan, so if the software unexpectedly closes, you can easily pick up where you left off. This helps prevent data loss and minimizes disruptions from crashes.

Seamless switching

After completing a scan, you can move effortlessly between the scanning project, point cloud, mesh, and texture modules. If the results lack detail, simply return to the project to continue scanning or adjust the resolution to generate a higher-quality point cloud.

Seamless stitching for large or multi-part scans

Need to scan something in parts, like a large object or both sides of a smaller one? The software lets you align and merge multiple scans using at least three common points (N-point registration), whether they’re features or markers. Even with full-color scans, the texture is preserved, giving you a detailed, accurate 3D model.

Snapshot material ball display

This feature lets you change how your 3D STL models look by applying different materials. There are eight material options to make your models look more vivid and interesting. You can also adjust the details like shadows and highlights to give your model a more realistic, 3D appearance.

Universal file compatibility

Export your scans in widely used formats like .asc, .obj, .stl, .ply, and mk2. Files like .stl and .obj can be easily imported into popular 3D design software for editing, or used directly for 3D printing, CNC machining, and more.

Seamless integration

After capturing 3D scan data in 3DeVOK Studio, you can easily transfer it to your preferred 3rd party software like GOM Inspect, QUICKSURFACE, or Geomagic Design X (third-party licenses required) with a single click. This seamless workflow makes it easy to perform tasks like measurement, inspection, and reverse engineering, giving you a smooth, end-to-end scanning and processing experience.
